The MP612/MP612c Brings a Smart Solution for Offices, Homes and Classrooms.

Hemel-Hempstead, Thursday 27th September 2007 – BenQ today announces two new additions to its award-winning line of DLP™ digital projectors – the BenQ MP612 and MP612c, offering a smart solution for small to medium size meeting rooms and home offices.  The projectors deliver bright, vivid images with easy-to-use functions and feature a high 2500 / 2200 ANSI Lumens brightness, respectively, 800 x 600 SVGA native resolution, super quiet fan noise design and a 2000:1 high contrast ratio.  Furthermore, the projectors feature a long lamp life of up to 4000 hours.

Unparalleled Image Quality

The MP612 and MP612c offer a smart solution to users with its easy-to-operate features and superior brightness. Both models utilise Texas Instrument’s BrilliantColor™ technology that enables higher brightness levels by boosting mid-tone colours, resulting in more vibrant, precisely rendered images.   The 3D colour management offers adjustments to red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow independently for hue, saturation, and value. In addition, the Golden Ratio Wheel incorporated inside the projectors further balances true colour saturation and maximizes colour accuracy for crystal-clear, vivid image reproduction.

User Friendly Features

The feature-packed MP612 and MP612c incorporate BenQ's exclusive whisper quiet design that effectively reduces audible noise to a low 26dB - the level of sound equivalent to the human whisper. Furthermore, the Wall Colour Correction function corrects the output colours in accordance with the colour of the wall on which the image is projected.  Other user friendly features include, panel key lock to prevent unauthorised use, a quick automatic search function that simultaneously detects input sources within two seconds, a presentation timer to keep the presentation running efficiently and a built-in FAQ that acts as a quick user manual. Moreover, the lamp door located on the upper side of the housing allows users to replace the lamp easily when the projector is mounted to the ceiling.
